Thank you to everyone who joined us today, Thursday, 4th April, in Higham Ferrers Community Room or on Zoom this afternoon. Twelve of us attended for our first Rushden and Higham Community Forum, hosted by Rushden Town Council, Higham Ferrers Town Council and myself, Co-op Member Pioneer Wellingborough, Rushden and Higham Ferrers, to ‘Connect the Connectors!’ The Community Room is at the back of what was the Library on Midland Road, it was open from 12:30 for refreshments, for the forum 1:00-2:00pm.
It’s new, so there was a be a bit of getting to know everyone, plus we shared events and activities, watch the video to find out more. It was lovely to have such a varied mix of people, including the Police, radio, councils, community organisations and local residents. I was really pleased that everyone joined in to make it the networking and sharing forum that we intended.
Thank you to Angela, Lauren, Lucy, Dave, Linda, David, Ian, Alicia, Vivienne, Paul and my co-host Natasha for joining me on our new Community Forum. Thank you Rushden Town Council and Higham Ferrers Town Council for working with me to make this happen and for hosting this.
There’s a new Facebook group to join too, see facebook.com/groups/rushdenandhigham and we will have a website at rushdenandhigham.org.uk for our calendar, local organisations and events as discussed on the forum. Find out more at coopmp.uk/rushdenandhigham
Do join us at the next Rushden and Higham Community Forum to Connect the Connectors on Thursday 2nd May, from 12:30 for the Forum 1-2pm next time at Rushden Hall Committee Room or on Zoom. Join in now on our Facebook group. Thank you all, see you next time!
