Hello everyone, today’s Advent Calendar window opens for Teamwork Trust in Wellingborough, a Northamptonshire Day Service provider for Adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and or Mild Mental Health issues. They offer friendly, safe and supportive places in which service users make new friends, access education and employment experiences, and take part in on and off-site activities and classes.

Teamwork Trust are passionate about ensuring that everyone gets access to the same chances, choices and opportunities – whatever their individual needs or abilities. Their enabling programme is for adults with mental health needs, learning and physical disabilities. Offering members a taste of the real world, vocational experience and so much more. Their members have fun while they are with us, they smile, make friends, learn vital skills, enjoy vocational experience and are supported to bring their skills into daily lives and into the wider community.
They have just launched their Multiply programme in association with North Northants Council, to support adults with learning disabilities and Autism to improve their numeracy skills. It’s a six week course with themed two hour sessions to make maths fun, accessible and relevant. Courses are run from their centres in Wellingborough, Kettering and Corby, and from the new year will be available at other community centres in the area. Watch the video to hear from Caroline and Kizzy, who talk about their Multiply programme, plus we get to meet Michael who talks about how they make crisp packets into blankets for the homeless and Charlie who shows us how they make badges. Teamwork Trust were also one of Co-op’s Local Causes last year, so I talk about our celebrations and then get snowballed by the members, such fun, Merry Christmas!
