Hello everybody, today’s Advent Calendar window opens for The Pemberton Centre in Rushden. The centre is managed by Freedom Leisure in partnership with North Northamptonshire Council and they aim to “improve lives through leisure”, providing affordable, inclusive and sustainable facilities that the whole community can enjoy.
Freedom Leisure are a not-for-profit charitable leisure trust that operate over 100 leisure, cultural and entertainment venues across the UK. They believe in supporting individuals and communities to be more active and healthier is at the heart of everything they do. They want the people that they serve in Rushden to have fun, feel welcome, included and empowered to live healthy lives.
The Pemberton Centre is Freedom Leisure’s busiest in North Northamptonshire, probably because there is lots on. They have a gym with over 100 stations spread across two floors, a huge sports hall, a main hall set up for gymnastics, plus three studios that have dance classes, and even a Warm Safe Space on Mondays and Thursday 1-4pm and on Wednesdays 5-8pm, with free hot drinks and loads of games to play!
