Today’s Advent Calendar window opens for The Never Alone Project, a small charity based in Northamptonshire, who support bereaved children, their families and teachers. They work across Northamptonshire to offer specialist and tailored support that offers help to reduce isolation, improve mental wellbeing and create a safe space to deal with grief.

Did you know that last week was National Grief Awareness Week? It is hard to see a family grieving. It is much harder to see a family grieving without support. Which is why The Never Alone Project have launched a Christmas Tree campaign to raise funds for the support they offer and to give people the opportunity to hang a bauble of hope, love and remembrance, of the lights that will shine on forever. You can also support The Never Alone Project as one of our Co-op causes too, simply by choosing them as your member cause like we have in Rushden and Higham Ferrers. Simple to do, costs you nothing and they get a donation every time you shop with you little blue card at the Co-op! Watch the video interview that I did with Ilze and Jodie from The Never Alone Project, where Ilze tells you all about the work of the charity and Jodie introduces the Christmas Tree Campaign. With today being Sunday I thought that this would be the perfect day to reflect on memories and to remember those we have lost. I hope that you enjoy the video and have a peaceful Christmas.
