Today’s Advent Calendar Window opens for the Daylight Centre, because it’s their Christmas Market tomorrow. There will be loads of small businesses selling craft and festive items, a raffle and lots of festive treats, it’s at their community hub at 10 Market Place on the High Street in Wellingborough. Visit them between 10am and 3pm, all proceeds from their prize raffle will go towards supporting local people!
The Daylight Centre are a fantastic local charity, who do much more than you think. They provide hot meals and many other essential services to homeless people in Wellingborough at their High Street centre. They run Wellingborough’s Food Bank, which distributes thousands of food parcels every year; plus they have a thriving Veggie Patch, where service users grow lots of fruit and veg. Veg boxes from the Veggie Patch are available to buy now on their website, and they have a great charity shop on Cambridge Street too!
The Daylight Centre are one of Co-op’s local causes this year, and you can choose them to be your cause on the Co-op app or at https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/86301 . All donations will help them prepare adults impacted by homelessness, poverty and social exclusion for healthier, happier, independent and purposeful futures. You can support them at no cost by simply using your little blue card every time you shop at the Co-op.
