Hello everyone, welcome to our Community Advent Calendar, to start it off the first window opens for me, your Co-op Member Pioneer, for my colleagues working as Member Pioneers and my colleagues in our Food Stores, Funeralcare and logistics. We are all working in your communities to help good things to happen. Member Pioneers are what other shops call community champions, but at the Co-op, we do do much more too.
As a Member Pioneer I am focused on bringing people together to make a difference in your community. That means talking to Co-op members, colleagues and community groups. By building relationships with and connecting these people I am a catalyst for new ideas, initiatives and projects. This includes sharing what is happening in the community, so here’s this year’s advent calendar that will feature community organisations and businesses that do good things.
Working with our Wellingborough Organisations Community Forum, Co-op Local Causes and stores, we have decided this time to include Rushden and Higham Ferrers and the surrounding area. If you are a community organisation or business, particularly if you are having a Christmas event, send us your story and a logo and I will do my best to find a window for you!
