Hello

I’m Jonathan Hornett, the Co-op Member Pioneer for Wellingborough, Rushden and Higham Ferrers. I’m here to connect with the community and help support local causes via our area’s stores.

We can all do our bit for our community. Together, we’ve raised £100m to support local communities across the UK. Join us and help support causes in your community. Download the app and become a member today.

We want to continue to build stronger and more resilient communities by offering:

  • Fair access to food
  • Fair access to mental wellbeing support
  • Fair access to education and employment for young people

The funds raised by our members will be split two ways;

  • This year we’ve supported 25,000 local causes and we’ll continue to support thousands more through the Local Community Fund, where members can select which cause in their local community to support.
  • And through the new Community Partnerships Fund creating lasting change on big issues we care about, targeting communities that need the extra help the most.

Support local good causes with us, choose a local cause today…

When you buy selected Co-op products and services, 2p for every £1 spent goes into your membership account. And we’ll split the same between like-minded organisations and local causes. Our three causes in Wellingborough are Iris-May Butterfly Kisses, Teamwork Trust and Wellingborough Eco Group. You can select the local cause you would like to support on the Co-op App or at https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes

Raise money for these wonderful local causes by shopping at the Co-op

If you do not select a cause to support, we’ll share the funds you raised equally between the 3 causes in your community. We give you a new set of causes to choose from every October.

We can also connect you with groups that need help. Use your time, skills and enthusiasm to make a direct impact in your community and beyond. With thousands of opportunities on our online community centre, find the perfect one for you at https://co-operate.coop.co.uk/

If you know of any community groups or local charities needing help, please get in touch! Call or WhatsApp me on 07815 463978, find me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, use the form on the Contact page or send me an email.

Fairtrade Fortnight: 27 February – 12 March 2023. Join us in spreading a simple message this Fairtrade Fortnight: making the small switch to Fairtrade supports producers in protecting the future of some of our most-loved food and the planet. Climate change is making crops like these harder and harder to grow. Combined with deeply unfair trade, communities growing these crops are being pushed to the brink. But here’s the good news. More people choosing Fairtrade means extra income, power and support for those communities. By making the small switch to Fairtrade, we can all support producers in protecting the future of some of our most-loved food and the planet.
